Wetum Road.
Wetum Road Construction, Maintenance and Decommissioning
The winter road linking Moose Factory and Moosonee to the provincial highway network. Innlink constructs the road at freeze-up, maintains and grades it through the season, coordinates closures with MCFN and decommissions it in spring.
Keeping it open.
Moose River.
Moose River Dredging
Hauling of excavated material from the dredge barges and management of the disposal site during the spring ice period.
Passenger transport.
James Bay Lowlands Secondary School Board Student Transportation
Daily transport for students between Moosonee and Moose Factory, every school day of the year, by whatever the river allows.
Through open water the crossing is made by boat. Once the ice road is in, it is made by road. During freeze-up and break-up, when the ice will not carry a vehicle and the water is not yet clear, the crossing goes by helicopter and Innlink runs the vehicles that meet it on each bank. Co-op placements and graduation runs are carried alongside the daily service.
Innlink has invoiced this work since October 2016 and holds the current multi-year contract.
